How to Take Free Surveys to Earn Cash Back
One of my favorite side hustles is taking free surveys to earn cash back! Side hustles continue to be one of the best ways to make money. The best part about surveys is the flexibility to take them when you want.
As many of you know, I’ve been side hustling for years. I’ve shared countless ways to earn extra income without having a part time job.
There are a ton of companies out there that let you earn money this way. Remember, every company should be free to sign up with – you should never pay to sign up with any companies.
I have been with some of these survey companies for over ten years! Because I’ve been with certain companies for so long, I have been able to figure out which companies really help me earn the most cash back.
Surveys was actually one of the first side hustles I started doing from home because it was so convenient!

Usually I do these surveys when I’m watching TV, because they are pretty mindless and easy to do. These are great ways to kill time, especially is you are on your cell phone or computer.
All of these survey companies are legit. They aren’t a scam and you can earn cash back, as well as rewards.
The surveys are very easy to do. The more surveys you participate in, the more money you will make!

How to Make Money Taking Surveys
Ibotta
Ibotta is a cell phone app that lets you earn cash back rebates from your purchases. This is by far one of my favorite ways to earn cash back. The money can quickly be transferred into your PayPal account.
I also love this app because you can use it every single time you go to the grocery store or places like Target or Walmart. You just scan your receipt, see what items you purchased have a rebate, and then redeem the rebate.
What I like best about this app is that many of the rebates aren’t brand specific. This means you can typically find a rebate that is for something like “$0.50 off any brand of milk” or “$0.75 off any brand of bread”. The savings add up fast! Join Ibotta and earn a $10 cash bonus!
Rakuten
You can make mad cash back every time you shop online with Rakuten. They even give you a $10 cash bonus when you sign up. I’ve earned hundreds of dollars back since I signed up with them a few years ago. The cash back adds up really fast! Join Rakuten here!
Swagbucks
Aside from being able to shop online, Swagbucks lets you watch videos that earn you points! These points can then be exchanged for gift cards and cash back. You can earn gift cards to places like Amazon, Target, Starbucks, Walmart – basically places you normally already shop at. You also get a $5 bonus when you sign up here!

Pinecone
This is similar to other survey sites – you earn points for taking surveys and then you redeem your points for a pre-paid Visa gift card or rewards. I like Pinecone because you get to give your opinion on products (and even test them out), so your input influences whether or not products hit the shelves. You can sign up here!
Start saving, even if it’s only a few dollars a week
Whether you want to start an emergency fund or a vacation fund, you have to start setting some money aside. If you’re like most people and struggle with saving, you should consider using Digit.
I’ve just started using this free program and love it. Digit lets you save money each week from your checking account. What I really like about Digit is that it analyzes my bank account and determines how much I can really save per week. Some weeks it might be $5 and other times it might be $20.
